On June 6, 2019, Janet went peacefully into the arms of her Lord and Savior at her home in Castle Rock, Wash., surrounded by love. She was born July 12, 1955, in Valparaiso, Ind.

Janet was raised in Onalaska and considered it home. She moved to Bellingham, Wash., after high school, where she received her pharmacy technician certificate and raised her three children. In 2015, Janet moved to Castle Rock, where she enjoyed gardening (especially her tomatoes!), walking her “route”, trips to the beach, putting together puzzles, reading and visits with family and friends in the area.

Janet was preceded in death by her parents, Charles and Jozella Cain of Onalaska; and brother, Kris Cain of Salkum.

She is survived by her brother, Kenneth Cain of Tumwater; sister, Nancy Lawrence of Winlock; daughters, Megan Gerber of Las Vegas and Georgia Gerber of Centralia; son, Everett Gerber of Bellingham; husband, Mark Kerr of Castle Rock; and numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.

A memorial will be held July 8, 2019, at 1 p.m., at Alexander Park in Chehalis, Wash.
