Gloria Schwartz Newman passed away Feb. 9, 2019, at the age of 83. She was born in Chehalis, Wash., to Nate and Esther Schwartz. Gloria moved to Seattle in 1953, and lived in Bellevue until her death.

Her greatest joy was her family.  Gloria's children, Geri (Steve) Capeloto and Larry (Kelly) Almeleh, as well as her four grandchildren, Jennifer (Dan) Kurzrock, Natalie, Alex and Jack Almeleh, have been the center of her life. In addition to her children and grandchildren, Gloria is also survived by her loving brother, Ken Schwartz; sister-in-law, Joanne Schwartz; and numerous nieces, nephews and extended family.

She is preceded in death by her loving brother, Harold Schwartz; and husband, Buddy Newman.

Our deepest gratitude to Dr. Henry Kaplan and the Swedish Cancer Institute. We are also eternally grateful to the passionate staff at Skyline Terrace Rehab Center for the loving care and support they showed to Gloria and our family.
