Geneva Robins

Geneva Robins, a longtime Vader resident, passed away to be with the Lord, April 1, 2019, in Chehalis, Wash. She was born May 1, 1934, in Tusquittee, N.C., to Garland and Lilly Melton.

Geneva attended school at Hayesville, N.C., and Ryderwood, Wash. She married Howard Dobbins in June of 1952, in Toledo, Wash. Howard passed away in August of 1963. Geneva later married Dennis L. Robins in 1969. She loved her family and devoted her life to being a loving homemaker. She was noted for her nine-layer Japanese fruit cake during Christmas, chicken and dumplings and her memorable positive attitude.

Geneva was preceded in death by her parents, Garland and Lily Melton; brother, Jack Melton; sisters, Jewell Hancock, Jeanette Killian and Rachel Melton; husband, Howard Dobbins; son, Ed Dobbins; and second husband, Dennis L. Robins.

She is survived by her brother, Joe Melton; daughter, Linda (Mark) Johnson; sons, Rex Dobbins and Leonard (Annette) Robins; grandchildren, Jim Netteland, John Netteland, Jarrod Yates, Kristopher Dobbins Schiender, Shyra Dobbins and Kendra and Justin Pruett; nine great-grandchildren; as well many nieces, nephews and extended family.

Geneva’s family wishes to extend their sincere thanks to Jessica and Welcome Home caretakers, Hospice and registered nurses. Our family is forever grateful for Welcome Home’s loving care. A special recognition to her son, Rex Dobbins, who visited weekly bringing her favorite treats.
