Emma loved gardening, sewing, raising her children, meeting and laughing with her sisters, Ruthie, Judy, Caroline and her niece, Vickie, visiting with her brother, Jerry and his wife, Patty, feeding and nurturing the many colorful birds, who visited her each and every day on her back porch and working diligently with her church in the church ministry of community services of which she loved helping those who were facing difficult times.

She was strong in her Christian faith and loved the Lord, showering her children with the knowledge of God and showing the love of Christ by her sweetness and kindness with whomever she met or conversed with.
