Duane Keegan, 83, of Oakville, Wash., passed away peacefully at St. Peter Hospital in Olympia, Wash., May 5, 2013.

Duane was born March 19, 1930 to the late Elmer and Myrtle Keegan of Wynot, Neb. When Duane was 13, the family moved to Auburn, Wash. Duane graduated from Auburn High School in 1949. In 1952, he married the girl next door, Beverly Campbell. They lived in Auburn with their three children for the next 38 years. Upon retiring from the King County Road Crew, Duane and his wife moved to Oakville and built their dream home where they had resided since 1990.

Duane was a 50 year member of the King Solomon Masonic Lodge. He enjoyed old tractors, playing  pinochle, huckleberry picking, salmon fishing, traveling, and sitting on the porch with his dog.

Duane is survived by his twin brother, Dwight Keegan of Wrangell, Alaska; his wife of 61 years, Beverly Keegan of Oakville, Wash; their two sons and daughter, David and Penny Keegan of Corvallis, Mont., Steve and Terry Keegan of Oakville, Wash., and Joseph and Maryann Settanni of Tyler, Texas; eight grandchildren and two great-grandchildren, Kevin, Emily, Melissa, Jackie, Ashley, Duane, Priscilla, James, Abram and Harrison.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, June 22, 2013 at 1:00 p.m., at the Oakville Methodist Church, Oakville, Wash.
