He shared the love of the outdoors with his wife, Candice, children and friends. He enjoyed spending time hunting, camping and boating with his loved ones.

Packy worked as a logger for his longtime friends, Moerke Logging, and later, at Weyerhauser. He and his grandpa, Bern Smith, began a small logging operation, S&S Logging, as a side business. Packy loved the outdoors and enjoyed working in the woods.

He later joined the Carpenters Union, which led to his longtime career at the Chehalis office with the Washington State Department of Transportation, beginning in 2003.

Packy is survived by his wife, Candice; son, Johnny; daughters, Taylor and Britany; sister, Shari (Don) Watt; brothers, Scott (Susan) Novak and Dean Novak (Rene); his in-laws, Neal and Leslie Campbell, Andrea (Luis) Sanchez, Logan (Jenny) Campbell, Eric (Susy) Campbell and Ian (Karla) Campbell; and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
