Donald "Don" Gene Cheney, 65, of Centralia, passed away Sept. 8, 2017, surrounded by his family. Don was born July 14, 1952, to Charles and Thelma Cheney.
As an avid outdoorsman, Don loved hunting, fishing, tinkering in his shop, working on cars and sharing stories. He retired from TransAlta as a heavy equipment operator.
He is survived by his children, Charlie, Kyle and Allie Cheney; sisters, Sharon (Alan) Ritchey, Pam Orr and Trish (Ralph) Frady; partner, Denise Sutton; and many grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Don was preceded in death by his parents; and brother-in-law, Bob Orr.
A graveside service will be held Wednesday, Sept. 20, 2017, at 11 a.m., at Alpha Cemetery, with a celebration of life to follow at the Moose Lodge, in Centralia, Wash.
