Dennis “Denny” Ralph Kostick

Dennis “Denny” Ralph Kostick, 84, former resident of Centralia, Wash., passed away Tuesday, Aug. 21, 2018, in Goodyear, Ariz.  He was born Oct. 25, 1933, in Chehalis, Wash., to Ralph and Hazel (Springer) Kostick. 

Denny attended Mossyrock grade school through high school. He was an excellent athlete and participated in all sports throughout school and was in theatre group for two years. Denny graduated Mossyrock High School in 1951,  then attended Centralia College. He was also a member of the National Guard for many years.  Denny became a Certified AMF and Brunswick Master Mechanic.

He married Marilyn Howard in 1956, and they had four sons. Many years later they divorced. Denny owned and operated Fairlanes Bowling Center, Centralia, Wash., from 1967 to 1979.  He was active in sports coaching his son’s baseball teams and avidly supporting all their sporting activities throughout their school years. Denny was a member of the Eagles, Moose, and Elks Lodges. He loved playing cards weekly with his numerous buddies, bowling on a league, clam digging and traveling the United States.  For those that knew Denny, he was a kind, loving and genuine person, who had a great sense of humor. Denny will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

He is survived by his four sons, Dan of Phoenix, AZ, Randy (Jamie) of Phoenix, Az, Ron (V’Ann) of Key Largo, FL, and Bret (Martha) of Phoenix, AZ; seven grandchildren, Christi (Vic) Franchini of Key Largo, FL, Justin (Christina) Kostick, of Jonesboro, AR, Mallorie (Dave) Cutrer of Phoenix, AZ, Savannah Kostick of Vancouver, WA, Vanessa (Justin) Gabbard of Kalama, WA, Megan Kostick, of Edmonds, WA, Sirena (Steven) Wilks of Auburndale, FL and Rilee Kostick of Centralia, WA; 10 great-grandchildren; and two stepsisters, Kathy Wright and Barbara Anderson.

Those preceding him in death are his father, Ralph Kostick; mother, Hazel (Springer) John; stepfather, Weston Hazelton; stepfather, Frank John; sisters, Diane Gaudette and Sharon Eames; brother, Larry Kostick.

A celebration of life service be held May of 2019, in Centralia, WA.
