Charles Eugene Stickler was born in Huron, S.D., and moved the Lewis County area when he was three years old.
Charles attended Chehalis schools. He entered the United States Army at age 17 and was home in 1969.
Charles had an older brother, Lee Wayne (deceased); younger sister, Penny of Oregon; younger brother, Thomas of Oregon; son, Ben of Tumwater; and stepson, Rod Dollicker of Wenatchee. In 1974, he married Debra Rousseau and they recently celebrated 47 years together in August. Charles also had seven grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
