Beverly (Adams) Hicks

Beverly (Adams) Hicks of Centralia, was born to Elmer and Ona (Snelson) Adams in Centralia, Wash., March 11, 1928. She was the oldest of five, siblings include Donald (deceased), James (deceased), Thomas and William (Joyce) Adams. She had lived in the Centralia area for all of her 90 years.

Beverly first married Raymond Orr and had four children, Michael (Sandra) Orr, Robert (deceased) (Pam) Orr, Lynnette (George) Martin and Lorraine Orr. In 1986, she married Simms Hick and added three step-daughters to her family, Lynn Hartley (Clark), Rhenae (Steve) Lengel and Janelle Hicks.

She worked for Safeway in Centralia for 20 years and retired in 1988, to travel and enjoy her many grandchildren.

Beverly’s hobbies and activities over the years have included cake decorating, sewing, crocheting and traveling, and was currently doing water aerobics three days a week.

Counting her life by smiles, not tears, bring only a good memory for all to hear.  In lieu of flowers, remembrances may be sent to a children’s hospital or charity of your choice. 

A graveside service will be held at 10 a.m., June 27, 2018, at Mountain View Cemetery. A gathering to follow at Borst Park Kitchen #1.
