Bernard E. Heuer

Bernard E. Heuer, 88, of Tenino, Wash., passed away June 29, 2019, at Providence Centralia Hospital in Centralia, Wash. He was born Nov. 16, 1930, to Harry B. and Beulah May Heuer in Denver, Colo.

The family later moved to Union, Wash., where he met his wife, Elaine Peterson and they married March 8, 1952, in Tenino. He served in the United States National Guard and worked for Boeing for more than 30 years before retiring in 1992. He enjoyed spending time in the garden, adventures on the Discovery bus and was a member of the Tenino Lions Club, where he made lifelong friends.  

Bernard is survived by his wife, Elaine; two daughters, Mary Edson and Marleen Hegg; son, Michael Heuer; granddaughter, April Madden; and three sisters, Patsy Gray, Michelle Perez and Melanie Campbell.

He was preceded in death by his son, Mark Heuer; daughter, Marcy Heuer; and brothers, Ronald Heuer and Marvin Heuer.

A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m., Saturday, July 6, 2019, at Forest Grove Cemetery in Tenino, Wash., with Bill Watson officiating.
