Ben Madden Sr.
passed away peacefully on
May 1, 2016 in
Onalaska, Wash.
He was born
Aug. 23, 1939 in Lewiston, Idaho to the late
Louis John Madden and Josephine Tate Madden.
Ben met his sweetheart, Lynda Joan Madden (Willey)
in elementary school
and togehter,
they had seven children.
In November, they would have celebrated 60 years of marriage.
He was a well respected saw filer in the Pacific Northwest, learning the trade from his father and then,
passing on the craft to his eldest son, Bennie Madden.
Ben was known for his sense of humor and his
generosity to community and family.
He was an avid fisherman, hunter and military
veteran and he will be sorely missed.
Ben was a faithful member of the Church of
Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints (Mormon) Church.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death
by his son, Bennie Joe Madden Jr.
He is survived by his wife and children, Amy Morgan (Ray),
Jody Madden Hakkola, Sarah Briscoe (Bob),
Amanda Workman (Kurt), Brock Madden
and Brett Madden; 23 grandchildren;
and 10 great-grandchildren.
Interment is in Grangeville, Idaho.
