Our loving son and brother, Charles Dwight May, 30, went home to be with the Lord. He passed away peacefully at the home of his parents, after a five year battle with cancer, surrounded by his loving family on May 23, 2015.

He was born in Centralia, Washington on Nov. 29, 1984 to Mary (Ketchum) and Werner May. He graduated from W.F. West High School in Chehalis, Washington in 2003.

Charles is survived by his parents, Mary and Werner May; sister, Tabatha Fenton (Steve); two brothers, Kyle and Steven May; two nephews, Ethen and Cayden, who were the joy of his life; grandmother, Fran Ketchum; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

He will also be missed by his love of eight years, Natalia Carreiro; her parents, Ruth and Carl Sr.; brother, Carl Jr. of Boston Massachusetts; and his co-workers of Longwood Security, Boston Police Department and Ubatubas softball team. Charles loved sports and began playing baseball at the age of four. He threw his first one hitter at the age of 10. He played baseball and tennis in his high school years, lettering in both and went to state for tennis his senior year.

In 2007, he went to live in Boston, Massachusetts, where he worked in security and was training to be a Boston police officer. Chuck was also working out and had an invitation to a walk-on tryout with the Boston Red Sox, when he was first hit with cancer.

He is now in heaven playing ball to his heart's content and he will always be in our hearts and memories.
