David Alan Pollard, known as Dave, passed away on Feb. 24, 2015. He was 50 years old.

Dave was born in Centralia, Washington, to Rocky and Patty Pollard on Dec. 29, 1964. He grew up in a logging camp in Grisdale, Washington. The close-knit community of Camp Grisdale fostered friendships that would last Dave’s whole life.

Dave graduated from Centralia High School in 1983. He enjoyed riding motorcycles, fishing and watching football, he was a huge fan of the Washington Redskins. A clever and witty man, he also was a loving and devoted father. His children were the joy of his life.

Dave will be greatly missed by his children, son, Dakin Pollard and daughter, Danielle Pollard, both of Centralia; mother, Patty; brother, Steve Pollard of Kirkland, Washington; as well as many loving aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his father, Rocky; brother, Frank; and grandparents.

Services are scheduled for Saturday, March 7, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. at Centralia Church of the Nazarene, 1119 West 1st Street, Centralia, WA 98531.

His family would like to thank everyone who has graciously given their condolences, comfort and cooking during this difficult time. Memorial donations may be made to a charity of your choice.
