They remained in the area while Roy was serving in Korea.

In 1952 Roy was discharged  and they continued to live in the Morton-Glenoma area, where Roy found employment. Being blessed with six healthy children, they remained in Washington.

Thelma was a member of the Morton United Methodist Church. She will be missed by her family and friends.
