Eula Bernice (Olson) Hansen, a 59 year resident of Chehalis, died peacefully on March 20, 2014. She was born Aug. 6, 1922 in Thor, Iowa to Olaus and Lena Olson. She attended a rural country school, graduated from Thor High School and Waldorf Lutheran College.
She married Lynwood Hansen in 1954 and moved to Chehalis where they made their home. She was a member of the St. John's Lutheran Church where she taught Sunday School, belonged to the Lutheran Women's Group and the book club. She was also a member of Chapter AV PEO. Eula and Lyn owned and operated Chehalis Music Co. until retiring in 1980. They enjoyed a long retirement traveling, camping, wintering in Arizona and spending time with their grandchildren. They delivered Meals on Wheels for the Twin City Senior Center and visited shut-ins.
Eula was preceded in death by her husband, Lyn; her parents; and two brothers.
She is survived by two daughters, Nancy Tyson and Patty (Mark) Wilson; grandchildren, Justin Wilson and Kasey Wilson; sister, Marian Olson; sister-in-law, Helen Olson; nieces, nephews and many cousins.
A graveside interment will be held on Thursday, March 27, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. at Claquato Cemetery. Following the graveside will be a celebration of life at St. John's Lutheran Church, Chehalis, at 1:00 p.m.
