Amy L. Gustafson joined family members in heaven June 6, 2019.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Harold (Gus) Gustafson; sister and brother-in-law, Gypsy and Hum Nelson; mother, Florence Freeman; and her beloved nephew, Larry Nelson.
She is survived by niece, Nancy Nelson; and great-niece, Stacy Nelson, both of Yelm.
Amy was born Sept. 30, 1923, in Olympia, Wash. She graduated from Napavine High School in 1941. She worked in the office of Montgomery Ward in Centralia from 1941 to 1955. Amy loved taking long walks and shopping at the the Chehalis Safeway, where she had many friends. She enjoyed eating any sweets, especially chocolates. She loved an occasional beer and had a large collection of costume jewelry.
In her last eight years, Amy lived at Quality Care Adult Family Home in Lacey. She was lovingly cared for by Joyce Dickinson and her caregivers.
At Amy’s request, there will be no service. Arrangements were conducted by Brown Funeral Chapel in Chehalis.
Please remember Amy as you enjoy a delicious piece of chocolate or a glass of beer. We will miss this sweet lady who lived for 95 years.
