Alma P. Watson

Alma P. Watson, 88, passed away March 6, 2017, at Cooks Hill Manor Assisted Living. Alma was born in Wenatchee, Wash., Dec. 27, 1928, to Alice and Reese Stanfield. She graduated from Wenatchee High School.

June 30, 1950, she married William O. Watson and together, they had five daughters. Traveling place to place following Bill's ironworkers trade, they settled in Centralia in the early 1960s, where they raised their family.

Alma is survived by her daughters, Melody Powell (Digger), Carol Watson, Nancy Ashe (Richard), Tammy Perkins (Duane) and Joy Watson; two sisters, Erma White and Violet Daggett; and brother, Vic Stanfield.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Alice and Reese; stepfather, Guy; husband, William Watson; brothers, Bud, Larry and Marion Stanfield.

Services are at Newell-Hoerling's Mortuary, March 13, 2017, at 11 a.m., followed by burial at Claquato Cemetery.
