OLYMPIA (AP) — Washington state parks have two free days in June: June 4 and 11. On those days, visitors do not need a Discover Pass to park at state parks.

The legislation that established the Discover Pass required 12 free days a year.

June 4 is going to be free in recognition of National Trails Day. June 11 will be free in honor of National Get Outdoors Day.

The free days apply only to state parks. The Discover Pass is still required on those days in state forest and on Department of Natural Resources lands.
