‘Vision 2025’ Survey Available on County Website

The Lewis County Vision 2025 survey, intended to help the Board of County Commissioners craft its next countywide strategic plan, is now live at lewiscountywa.gov.

“Strategic planning is a valuable process that helps map out goals and legislative priorities,” said Commissioner Gary Stamper, who serves as chair of the BOCC. “While many counties approach strategic planning with only their leadership involved, Lewis County is proud to first engage the community and seek its input.”

A seven-member committee of volunteers is helping lead the community-outreach effort. The committee and consulting firm Tanner LLC are scheduling a series of town-hall-style meetings to brainstorm ideas. A list of the meeting dates and sites will be available with the survey at lewiscountywa.gov.

The survey will be available on the county’s website through the first week of March. Paper copies also will be available at libraries and other public venues within Lewis County. Comments received through the survey — as well as those voiced during the public meetings — will help shape the county’s plan, Commissioner Stamper said.

“We invite all members of the community to participate in the Community Survey and meetings and to give us your honest opinions, hopes and dreams regarding this place we call home,” he said.
