United Way of Lewis County, Chamber of Commerce Throwing Holiday Party Dec. 1

The United Way of Lewis County and the Centralia-Chehalis Chamber of Commerce will be holding their annual celebration and Business After Hours event on Dec. 1 at 4:30 p.m. 

The festivities will include an ugly sweater contest and a raffle for $5,000, $500 and $100 prizes. Hors d’oeuvres and a no-host bar will also be provided. Raffle tickets are $10.

Proceeds will benefit United Way of Lewis County and the Centralia-Chehalis Chamber of Commerce’s scholarship fund. The event itself is free and open to the public.

The celebration will also mark the end of the United Way’s November coat drive, which has the goal of collecting some 150 coats and gloves for students in rural Lewis County. 



Donations can be made at any of the 13 participating businesses and organizations: United Way of Lewis County, ASAP Business Solutions, Title Guaranty Company of Lewis County, Pacific Mobile Structures, the Centralia-Chehalis Chamber of Commerce, Key Bank, WSECU, Flood Valley Brewing, Twin Star Credit Union-Centralia, The Station Coffee Bar, Cardinal Glass in Winlock, the East County Journal and Gracie’s in Morton.

Coats will be donated to children in the Boistfort, Pe Ell, Onalaska, Winlock, Mossyrock, Morton and White Pass school districts.

Cash and check donations are also being accepted at the United Way offices at 450 NW Pacific Ave. in Chehalis.
