Two suspects — a teenager and a 20-year-old Winlock man — have been arrested in connection with a report of a robbery involving handguns Wednesday in Chehalis.

Brandon Caley, 20, of Winlock, is scheduled to make his first appearance in Lewis County Superior Court on a charge of first-degree robbery this afternoon.

A 17-year-old Chehalis boy was also arrested and booked into Lewis County Juvenile Detention on the same charge.

Two other suspects, described as Hispanic males in their 20s, are still being sought by law enforcement.

According to the Chehalis Police Department, at 2:55 p.m. on Wednesday, a group of high school students were walking near Penny Playground in Chehalis when they were approached by four people in a gray Honda car.

The suspects were “reportedly looking for a specific individual with whom they had previously had a disagreement,” according to a news release from the police department.

The victims reported the suspects were armed with handguns, one of which was displayed during the confrontation.

One of the suspects allegedly took property from one of the victims during the incident.

No injuries were reported.

The incident is still under investigation. Anyone with information is asked to contact the Chehalis Police Department at 360-748-8605 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
