‘The Treasure of the Sierra Madre’ Coming to Fox Theatre in Centralia

The Centralia Fox Theatre will be screening the next in its 2017 Fox Theatre Film Series, the 1948 western classic “The Treasure of the Sierra Madre,” Saturday, March 11.

The showings will be at 2 and 7 p.m. 

Two down on their luck Americans, Fred Cobbs (Humphrey Bogart) and Bob Curtin (Tim Holt), search for work in Tampico, Mexico, in 1925. They convince an old prospector to help them mine for gold in the Sierra Madre Mountains. They face enormous difficulties yet strike gold. But bandits, the elements and greed threaten to turn their finds of treasure into disaster.

Dress in your best Western apparel and join the theater in celebrating the cinematography of the 1940s. 



Admission for the movie is $10 per person ($8 for members) and $25 per family (three to four persons.)  Season passes are also available for the 2017 film series.  Passes are $80 ($60 for members) and are good for all remaining movies in the series.
