Tenino Motorcyclist Dies After Friday Crash in Bucoda

A Tenino motorcyclist seriously injured after a crash on state Route 507 in Bucoda Friday evening later died of his injuries, according to the Washington State Patrol. 

The crash was reported at 6:32 p.m. at milepost 7 of the highway. The motorcycle, a blue 2002 Harley Davidson XL1200, was heading north on the highway when the rider attempted to avoid traffic and crashed. The rider was ejected and the motorcycle came to rest blocking the northbound lane, according to the State Patrol.

The rider, identified by the State Patrol as Sky M. Lelo, 38, of Tenino, was airlifted to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle. The State Patrol announced Tuesday that he had died Monday afternoon.



The cause of the crash is under investigation. It is unknown if drugs or alcohol were a factor. No other vehicles are listed in the State Patrol report as being involved in the incident.
