Tenino Chiropractic Wellness Center Hosts ‘Howliday’ Pet Food Drive

For the third year, the Tenino Chiropractic Wellness Center is hosting its “Howliday Pet Food Drive.”

Through Dec. 31, unopened bags and cans of dog and cat food and treats can be dropped off at the center, which is located at 548 Sussex Ave. West, Tenino.

The donations will be given to the Tenino Food Bank, Kitty Kat Haven Pet Pantry in Chehalis and Purple Heart Rescue in Lewis County.

The drive is especially aimed at assisting families and senior citizens who struggle to feed their pets or perhaps skrimp on their own nutrition to provide healthy lives for their animals.

The outpouring of support for the pet food drive has exceeded expectations the last two years, according to the chiropractic center.

“I see the positive impact pets have on people’s health and wellbeing,” said Dr. Brad Ellisor, Tenino’s chiropractor. “Pets can also help reduce stress. Stress left unchecked contributes to many chronic health problems and back pain. The act of caring for and the unconditional love from a companion animal makes a significant difference.”
