Sirens: Robbed by Escapee; Chain Saws Stolen; Afternoon Drinking; Meth Possession; Dog Attack

Robbed by Escapee

• A robbery that occurred in River Oaks RV Park in Toledo at noon on Nov. 3 was reported at 8:27 a.m. Wednesday. Officials are unsure why there was a delay in the report. A 33-year-old man from Toledo told deputies that a few days prior a suspect entered his home and, using bodily force and threats, demanded anything valuable in the residence. The alleged robber, identified as Kyle E. Rogers, 33, of Winlock, was known to the victim. He was referred to the Lewis County prosecutor. A 59-year-old Castle Rock man was the victim of robbery by a second suspect, who has not been identified. Deputies canvassed the area. Rogers is believed to live in Cowlitz County and is wanted by the Washington Department of Corrections for escape. 

 

Chain Saws Stolen

• Deputies located evidentiary items at a burglary scene in the 400 block of state Highway 505 in Winlock. The victim, a 47-year-old Winlock man, reported that between Oct. 30 and Nov. 7 someone entered his 60-by-40-foot metal building and stole two Stihl chain saws and one Lewis chain saw valued at $2,300. Investigation is under way.

 

Van Crash

• A 21-year-old Randle man was cited and released for first-degree negligent driving and having a loaded firearm in a vehicle after he drove into the ditch in the  200 block of Silverbrook Road in Randle. Ethan Middleton said he didn’t know what happened when the 1991 Chevrolet Astro Van he was driving slide off the road into the ditch and overturned at about 4:25 p.m. on Friday. Deputies found six firearms in the vehicle and one was loaded. Middleton told deputies he had been drinking. He was not injured, but the van did sustain damage.

 

Protection Violation

• Talena J. Wilson, 30, a Centralia transient, was arrested and booked into the Lewis County Jail for violation of a protection order. Wilson was located in a vehicle next to a shop on the 76-year-old woman’s property in the 600 block of Centralia-Alpha Road in Centralia at about 5:45 p.m. Saturday

 

Burglar Interrupted

• A 30-year-old Chehalis woman interrupted a burglar who ran out the side door of the woman’s home when she screamed. The woman had been putting her daughter to bed at her residence in the 400 block of Yates Road in Chehalis when she heard a voice. She thought her boyfriend was home from work and found a tall, thin man wearing all black and a ski mask. After the man left, she went into her daughter’s room and called 911 at about 12:05 a.m. on Monday. Deputies found a shotgun, a pillowcase with a Sony Playstation in it and a small safe open on the bed in the master bedroom. The items were collected for fingerprinting. The 28-year-old boyfriend returned from work and reported $600, coins, a gold watch and a gold necklace were missing from the safe. It is unknown who owns the firearm. The suspect is reported to be a white man with gray hair.

Domestic Violence

• Police arrested Richard J. Allshouse, 27, of Centralia, for fourth-degree assault, domestic violence, and third-degree malicious mischief, domestic violence. The incident occurred in the 100 block of Virginia Drive in Centralia at 5:58 p.m. on Friday. Allshouse was booked into the Lewis County Jail.

 

Stolen Phone

• Two white men both about 18-21 years old reportedly stole a cellphone in the 1100 block of Johnson Road in Centralia at about 2:47 p.m. on Saturday. One suspect was reported to be about 6 feet, 2 inches tall, thin with brown hair and no facial hair. He was wearing a gray beanie, a green or blue flannel shirt, jeans and red or orange shoes. He was reported to be walking with a limp in his  left leg. The second suspect was described as more than 6 feet tall with dark hair. The men both got into a teal or dark green Honda or Acura with a Washington state license plate.

 

Stolen Medication

• An unknown person reportedly stole medications from the 1000 block of South Tower Avenue, the report was made at 1:07 p.m. Monday.

 

Afternoon Drinking

• A 16-year-old boy was referred to the juvenile prosecutor for possession/consumption of alcohol by a minor at 4:19 p.m. on Sunday in the 800 block of West First Street in Centralia.

 

Unlocked Vehicle Prowl

• A vehicle prowl was reported in the 140 block of West High Street in Centralia at 6:23 p.m. on Sunday. Items were taken from the unlocked vehicle after the owner left it to go shopping for a few minutes.

 

Meth Possession 

• Timothy P. McCann, 44, Centralia, was arrested and booked into the Lewis County Jail for possession of meth on the 1200 block of Alder Street at 5:16 p.m. Monday.

 

Morton/Mossyrock Police Department

Dog Attack

• A woman reported to police at about 8:47 a.m. on Nov. 5 that her neighbor’s dog crawled under a fence and attacked a smaller dog in her yard in the 100 block of Meadow Lane in Mossyrock. 

The smaller dog received significant injuries. Police contacted the neighbor and gave him a verbal warning about containing his dog.
