1 Hurt in Rollover

• A 32-year-old man was flown from Chehalis-Centralia Airport to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle following a single-vehicle rollover Monday morning. Lewis County Fire District 6 in Chehalis responded to the wreck at 3 a.m. in the 1400 block of Bishop Road. The driver was traveling south when the vehicle rolled. He sustained critical injuries, but was in stable condition when airlifted, according to authorities. The cause of the accident is unknown.

Assault With Box Knife

• A 65-year-old Onalaska man was allegedly assaulted with a box knife by his neighbor in Onalaska on Monday. Roderick D. Johnson, 45, of Onalaska allegedly cut the 65-year-old on the cheek with a box knife after yelling at him to get off his property in the 100 block of Tammy Lane. The victim told deputies who responded at 12:35 p.m. that he was trying to return Johnson’s dogs to him. He said Johnson yelled at him and then cut him with a box knife. Another man came over and separated the two and the victim went home. Deputies tried to locate Johnson and the third man, but were unsuccessful. Johnson has been referred to the prosecutor’s office for second-degree assault.

Keys to the School

• Police received a report at 8:22 a.m. Friday that a former student was trying to sell master keys to W. F. West High School in Chehalis. No arrests were made.

Officer Assaulted

• A Chehalis police officer was assaulted at about 10:30 p.m. Sunday at the Dollar Tree in Chehalis after asking a man accused of a misdemeanor theft for his license. William M. Eaton Jr., 36, of Chehalis, allegedly punched the officer in the face after the officer contacted him and asked for his license. The officer then tasered Eaton and arrested him for third-degree assault. Eaton was booked into the Lewis County Jail.

 

Centralia Police Department

Mailboxes Damaged

• Police received a report of damage to a gang mailbox in the 1900 block of Harrison Avenue in Centralia at 9:46 a.m. Monday.

Locked Vehicle Broken Into

• Police responded to a report of a car stereo and paperwork stolen from a locked vehicle that was parked near a residence in the 1100 block of Brotherson Road in Centralia at 4:57 a.m. Tuesday. 

Car Prowl

• A vehicle prowl was reported where a car stereo and a wallet with credit cards, identification and other items were stolen in the 800 block of South Tower Avenue in Centralia at 6:29 a.m. Tuesday.

Tagged

• Officers received a report at 11:06 a.m. Sunday of a fence tagged with graffiti overnight in the 500 block of South King Street in Centralia. 

New Paint Job

• A building in the 600 block of North Pearl Street in Centralia was reported spray painted. Police received the report of third-degree malicious mischief at 1:02 p.m. Sunday.

Fuel Stolen

• A driver reportedly stole $22.46 in gas after driving off from a station in the 1300 block of South Gold Street in Centralia at 2:38 p.m. on Saturday.

Third-degree Theft

• Officers responded to a report of stolen checks in the 500 block of South Tower Avenue in Centralia at 3:35 p.m. Friday. 

Criminal Trespassing

• Officers arrested Christopher J. Holmes, 24, of Chehalis, for first-degree criminal trespassing and resisting arrest at 1:49 a.m. Sunday in the 300 block of Jackson Street in Centralia.

 

Mossyrock Police Department

What’s That?

• Police received a report of a suspicious vehicle in Mossyrock Park. It was discovered to be a golf cart.
