Sirens: House Egged; Vehicle Assaulted; Shelter Workers Threatened; Assault on a Nurse

Egging

• Police responded to a victim’s report at 8:56 a.m. Monday that someone egged his car and broke a window on the 1400 block of Oxford Avenue.

Rocks Shatter Windows

• A victim reported at 8:59 a.m. Monday that someone had broken four windows by throwing rocks on the 1100 block of West First Street. Police are investigating the report.

Domestic Violence

• Police cited and released Christopher W. Burleson, 37, of Centralia, on suspicion of fourth-degree assault, domestic violence, after he allegedly pushed his stepdaughter at 1:06 p.m. Monday. Burleson was also cited for breaking her cellphone and iPad on the 1100 block of Scammon Creek Road.

Vehicle Assaulted

• A victim reported someone broke the mirror on his vehicle on the 800 block of South Pearl Street at 5:37 p.m. Monday.

Thief Gets Away

• A theft suspect avoided capture after he allegedly stole from a store on the 600 block of South Tower Avenue at 4:21 a.m. Tuesday. Police are investigating the incident.

Homeless Shelter Workers Threatened  

• Transient Jacob M. Goble, 23, was arrested and booked into the Lewis County Jail on suspicion of harassment after he allegedly threatened to kill two workers at a homeless shelter on the 400 block of North Tower Avenue at 12:35 a.m. Tuesday. 

Broken Window

• A report of a rock being thrown through a window during the night was received from the 500 block of South Tower Avenue Tuesday at 9:23 a.m. 

Hit and Run

• On Tuesday at 12:55 p.m. on the 1200 block of Lum Road, there was a report of a vehicle that was damaged by another vehicle. No information was left at the scene.

Suspended License

• Kari L. Johnston, 34 of Centralia, was cited and released for driving with a suspended license on Tuesday at 2:08 p.m. on the 900 block of West Roanoke Street. 

• Candice L. Beaver, 21 of Centralia, was cited and released for driving with a suspended license on Tuesday at 8:42 p.m. on the 700 block of Harrison Avenue. 

Wallet Stolen

• On Tuesday at 4:46 p.m. there was a report of a theft of a new wallet from a store. The male suspect allegedly took the wallet and fled the store on the 1400 block of Lum Road.

Fancy Pants

• Melissa F. Johnson, 34 and transient in Centralia, was cited and released for allegedly stealing a pair of designer pants from a store on the 1200 block of Lum Road in Centralia. The incident took place on Tuesday at 5:14 p.m. 

Assault on a Nurse

• Judith M. Fenning, 35 of Chehalis, was arrested and booked into the Lewis County Jail for assault in the third degree for allegedly punching a nurse at Providence Centralia Hospital at 6:08 p.m. Tuesday. 

Driving Under the Influence

• Michelle E. Shanks, 44, Rochester, was arrested and booked at the intersection of Harrison Avenue and Belmont Street. She was taken to the Lewis County Jail for suspicion of driving under the influence of alcohol.

Suspicious Circumstances

• At approximately 11:30 p.m. Tuesday on the 1300 block of U.S. Highway 12, deputies were dispatched to the Packwood Inn for a report of a broken front door. The manager said she was in the back and did not hear or see anything other than the glass breaking on her front door. It is unsure what broke the glass and damage was estimated at $900. The incident is under investigation.
