Sirens: Driver Hits Mossyrock Park Gate, Centralia Man Booked on Protection Order Violation, Child Throws Envelope Containing Cash, Debit Card Out Moving Car Window

Burglaries

• At 1:54 p.m. on Wednesday, a burglary was reported at a residence in the 2100 block of North Tower Avenue. A resident reported coming home to find items missing. 

• At 5:07 p.m. on Wednesday, an attempted burglary was reported at a business in the 1000 block of Johnson Road in Centralia. A person reported finding pry marks on a back door. 

• At 7:12 p.m. on Wednesday, a burglary was reported at a vacant building in the 300 block of Centralia College Boulevard. The building had been boarded up, but one of the boards was damaged and the door was forced open. 

Honda Civic Stolen

• At 9:15 p.m. on Wednesday, a silver 1997 Honda Civic was reported stolen from a parking lot in the 1300 block of Alexander Street. 

Shelton Resident Arrested on Warrant After Shoplifting Report

• At 10:43 p.m. on Wednesday, police responded to a report of shoplifting the 500 block of South Tower Avenue and arrested Megan L. Wright, 38, of Shelton, on an outstanding warrant. 

Suspect Arrested on No-Contact Order Violation

• At 12:30 a.m. on Thursday, police responded to the 300 block of South Iron Street and arrested Jacob S. Drury, 23, of Centralia, on suspicion of violating a domestic-violence no-contact order.

Man Booked on Warrant, Drug Charge

• At 6:21 a.m. on Thursday, police responded to the 1200 block of Mellen Street and arrested Brian M. Williams, 29, of Centralia, on suspicion of possession of methamphetamine and for an outstanding warrant. 

Child Throws Envelope Containing Cash, Debit Card Out Moving Car Window

• At 12:21 p.m. on Thursday, police received a report of money and a debit card lost in the 1000 block of South Pearl Street. A driver reported a child passenger threw items out of a moving car, including an envelope containing $150 cash, a debit card and other documents. The driver reportedly returned to the scene but was unable to find the documents. 

Missing Children Found

• At 6:28 p.m. on Thursday, officers at the intersection of Harrison Avenue and Johnson Road found two children “that appeared to be lost and alone,” according to police. Officers contacted the children, and a short time later the children’s parents called to report them missing. The children were returned home.  

Marysville Resident Booked on Drug Charge

• At 6:42 p.m. on Thursday, police responded to the 1200 block of Mellen Street and arrested Siara E. Page, 25, of Marysville, on suspicion of possession of heroin and outstanding warrants. 

Portland Woman Arrested on Trespass Charge

• At 8:32 p.m. on Thursday, police responded to a report of a trespasser in the 500 block of South Tower Avenue. Haylee R. Prisco, 25, of Portland, was arrested on suspicion of criminal trespass. She allegedly refused to leave a store. 

Chehalis Police Department

Centralia Man Booked on Protection Order Violation

• At 10:33 a.m. on Tuesday, police received a report of a violation of a protection order in the 2200 block of Jackson Highway in Chehalis. Police eventually found the suspect at Penny Playground in Chehalis. Christopher M. Mullen, 24, of Centralia, was arrested on suspicion of felony violation of a protection order.

Thefts Reported

• At 11:38 a.m. on Tuesday, police received a report of a theft in the 1200 block of Northwest Louisiana Avenue. 

 At 6:13 p.m. on Thursday, a theft was reported in the 400 block of Southwest 19th Street.

Assault Reported

• At 12:46 p.m. on Tuesday, an assault was reported between residents of American Behavioral Health Systems in the 500 block of Southeast Washington Avenue. David G. Dehaven, 33, of Chehalis, was cited on suspicion of fourth-degree assault.

Vehicle Prowl

• At 1:54 p.m. on Tuesday, a vehicle prowl was reported in the 600 block of Northwest Rhode Island Place. A wallet was taken. 



Scam Calls Reported

• At 2:02 p.m. on Tuesday, a person in the 100 block of Northeast Hampe Way reported receiving scam phone calls. 

Trespassers Reported

• At 11:07 p.m. on Tuesday, police received a report of trespassers in a house in the 700 block of Southwest McFadden Avenue. 

• At 1:22 p.m. on Wednesday, a trespasser was reported in the 1100 block of South Market Boulevard. A woman was allegedly panhandling on private property. 

• At 4:01 p.m. on Thursday, a trespasser was reported in the 1100 block of South Market Boulevard. A man was reportedly harassing employees. 

• At 10:07 p.m. on Thursday, a trespasser was reported in the 100 block of Southwest Interstate Avenue. An intoxicated man reportedly tried to buy beer but had been banned from the store the previous night. 

Disorderly Conduct Reported

• At 11:44 a.m. on Thursday, police received a report of disorderly conduct in the 2600 block of Northeast Kresky Avenue. No arrests were made.

Solar Lights Taken

• At 8:38 a.m. on Wednesday, solar lights were reported stolen from a yard in the 1600 block of South Market Boulevard. 

Protection Order Violated

• At 10:27 p.m. on Wednesday, police received a report that a protection order was violated in the 1400 block of Southwest Mills Avenue in Chehalis. No arrests were made.  

Hit and Run

• At 12:11 p.m. on Thursday, police received a report of a hit and run in the 300 block of West Main Street in Chehalis.

Accused Shoplifters Cited

• At 2:55 p.m. on Thursday, police responded to a report of teenage girls shoplifting bathing suits in the 1600 block of Northwest Louisiana Avenue. The two 15-year-old Chehalis girls were accused of taking about $40 in merchandise between the two of them. They were released to guardians and will be referred to Lewis County Juvenile Court for charges. 

• At 8 p.m. on Thursday, police responded to a report of a shoplifter in the 1600 block of Northwest Louisiana Avenue. 

• Kayla M. Marrs, 26, of Centralia, was arrested on suspicion of third-degree theft. She was accused of taking $121.85 in merchandise.

• At 9:40 p.m. on Thursday, police responded to a report of a shoplifter in the 1600 block of Northwest Louisiana Avenue. Julian Waldrop, 37, of Chehalis, was arrested on suspicion of third-degree theft for allegedly taking $39 in merchandise. 

Lewis County Sheriff’s Office

Driver Hits Mossyrock Park Gate

• At 10 p.m. on Wednesday, deputies responded to the 200 block of Aljune Road at Mossyrock Park after getting a report of malicious mischief to the park gate. Deputies arrived at 10:48 p.m. and found that a vehicle was parked on top of a rock median, and on top of the park’s entrance sine. The driver, Bradley T. Duchemin, 44, of Poulsbo, was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence

Lewis County Jail Statistics

 

• As of Friday morning, the Lewis County Jail had a total system population of 219 inmates, including 186 in general population, 32 in the Work Ethic and Restitution Center and one on work release. Of general population inmates, 148 were men and 38 were women and of WERC inmates, 27 were men and five women. A total of 30 inmates were booked through contracts with agencies outside Lewis County.
