The Thurston County Sheriff’s Office is searching for a Rochester woman reported missing this week.

Sharon Lee Leaming, 70, was reported missing Thursday. She was last seen Tuesday when she left her Rochester residence to visit a property owned by the family in North Cove, Pacific County.

A friend reported she left the property later that day to head back to Rochester. However, Leaming never returned home.

The Pacific County Sheriff’s Office “pinged” Leaming’s cell phone, tracing it to a location near Cedar River Road in the Oakville area. Deputies searched the area and did not find Leaming or the phone.

Family members also attempted to track the phone, leading them to an Oakville address. Deputies also searched that location and came up empty handed.

Leaming is described as a 70-year-old woman with black hair and brown eyes. She stands 5 feet, 4 inches tall and weighs 195 pounds.

She was last seen wearing blue jeans, a blue sweatshirt and black slip-on shoes. She was driving a dark blue 1993 Chevrolet Lumina Euro registered to her son.

Leaming has early-stage dementia, has bronchial pneumonia and chronic back pain. She also has COPD and is taking steroids to treat it.

To report information about Leaming’s whereabouts, contact Detective F.M. Frawley, of the Thurston County Sheriff’s Office, at 360-786-5599 or call 911.
