Samara Vannoy, a 14-year-old student from Rochester, recently served as a legislative page in the Washington State House of Representatives. She was sponsored by 20th District Rep. Richard DeBolt.

“Samara was a tremendous help to our office this week,” said DeBolt, R-Chehalis. “I hope the experience of working at the state Capitol leads to a lifetime of public service. I wish her all the best in her future endeavors.”

Samara is the child of Fred and Sandra Conradi. She is also a student at Rochester Middle School and enjoys playing volleyball.

Some of Samara’s responsibilities while working at the state Capitol included delivering messages and documents to state lawmakers on the House floor, in committee meetings, and in their offices. She also attended Legislative Page School.

To become a page in the House of Representatives, a student must have permission from a parent or guardian and school, be sponsored by a member of the House of Representatives, and be between 14 and 16 years old.
