Port of Centralia commissioners approved a resolution on Wednesday that would allow the existing Rogers Machinery facility to add a new 51,000 square-foot building on an adjacent parcel.

The building will consist of 45,000 square-feet of warehouse space and 6,000 square-feet of office, conference and training space, according to the master plan for the project.

The new facility would support the addition of 25 to 28 new jobs.

Rogers Machinery, located at 3517 Galvin Road, is a compressor and pump supplier. The business also provides vacuum systems, dryers and blowers.

The company was created in 1949 and its corporate office is located in Portland. The company has several branch locations in Idaho, Oregon, California and Washington, which includes the Centralia office.

The expansion meets the compliance requirements of the port’s master plan.
