A 56-year-old Packwood woman was airlifted to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle after she was run over by her own car Sunday morning.

The woman, Donna L. Rowe-Breidstein, was stung by a bee while she was getting into her 2004 Ford Explorer at about 11 a.m., said Sgt. Rob Snaza. While trying to get away from the bee, she fell on the ground and the vehicle ran over her leg.

The vehicle then continued to roll down the 100 block of Main Street East in Packwood and struck a parked 2013 Honda, Snaza said.

The woman was transported to Morton General Hospital and later airlifted to Harborview Medical Center due to her injuries to her leg and ankle.
