"Kill order may spell end for wolf pack"

Oregon Department of Fish and Wildlife's decision to kill two wolves for preying on livestock mark the end of Oregon's first wolf pack, the Associated Press reports today.

State wolf coordinator Russ Morgan said losing the pack would be a setback forĀ  wolf recovery, but the species is expanding in other areas. ODFW announced yesterday that the new Walla Walla pack in Umatilla County had two pups this year.
