The Board of Lewis County Commissioners appointed four individuals to three different boards during its Monday meeting.

Thomas Crowson, of Chehalis, was appointed to the Lewis County Water Conservancy Board. He has served on a number of boards in the past and has a background in real estate, land and water issues.

Sybil Kuhn and George Dodd were appointed to the Southwest Washington Fair Commission. The seven-member board serves in an advisory capacity to the fair manager and the commissioners for the fair as well as interim events on the grounds.

Director of Central Services Steve Walton said both Kuhn and Dodd have volunteered with various agencies throughout the county and were well qualified for the commission. They will represent Districts 1 and 2 for a term of four years that ends in May 2021.

The Fair Commission has another opening for District 3 that it is hoping to fill in the near future.

William Linn, of Toledo, was appointed to the Veterans Advisory Board effective immediately. His term will expire on June 30, 2018.

The board consists of at least seven regular members and two alternatives. Linn’s application to serve on the board said he wanted to visit with veterans in smaller communities and obtain feedback and suggestions on veteran services in the area.
