The Lewis County Fire District 5 Firefighters Association and Napavine Newaukum Lions Club are partnering to host lawnmower races at 3 p.m. July 18 at 407 W. Birch Ave. in Napavine in the field next to Napavine City Hall.
The races are scheduled to take place during the Napavine Funtime festival.
To register as a racer, pick up an application at 115 E. Washington Street in Napavine or call Fire District 5 at (360) 262-3320.
The event will include a seating section for people to bring their own lawn chairs. Fireworks will follow the races.
