Music Teachers to Offer Assistance for Music Study

The Lewis County Music Teachers, through the Dorothy Parker Memorial Grant, is offering assistance for qualified children to study music during the 2016-17 school year.

This grants are open to any student in grades 1-12 living in Lewis County whose family qualifies as low-income status. The criteria for a recipient includes desire and commitment to study, parental/guardian support, living near a LCMTA teacher, access to an instrument and financial need.

Applications are due by June 30 for the student grant and are available by calling Barbara at (360) 736-2180.



The LCMTA is affiliated with the Washington State Music Teachers Association and the Music Teachers National Association. It annually hosts a piano adjudication, two honor recitals, the Piano Play-a-Thon and a Ribbon Festival to benefit students.
