A Tenino man who went missing last week was arrested in Colorado on Thursday, according to the Thurston County Sheriff’s Office.

Eric A. Rearden, 41, a level 3 sex offender, was reported missing by his father. He was last seen Sept. 5 when he went to a gas station in the Nisqually Valley to meet a potential buyer of fishing poles Rearden had posted for sale online.

His car, a red 1995 Suzuki Swift, was also missing.

Rearden was arrested on a warrant from the Department of Corrections, according to Sgt. Carla Carter.

In 2003, Rearden pleaded guilty to one count of first-degree burglary with sexual motivation and second-degree assault, which requires him to register as a sex offender. He was convicted in 2014 for failing to register.
