Lewis County will be holding a public informational meeting on possible changes to its animal kennel and breeding ordinance on Monday, Dec. 14.
The meeting will begin at 6 p.m. at the county’s public services building at 2025 NE Kresky Ave. in Chehalis.
The county is considering a proposal requiring annual permits for kennel operations with inspections required to get or renew permits.
Currently, officials with Lewis County Public Health & Social Services can only inspect operations when they get permission or a search warrant, according to county code.
