The Centralia School District is set to host five community meetings for the upcoming boundary changes for the district’s elementary schools. The first one will take place at 6 p.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 23 at Edison Elementary School.
“Our K-6 boundary change committee has been working to develop initial plans for the boundaries at each of Centralia’s five elementary schools,” reads a press release from the district. “These plans will be presented to the community, and an opportunity will be given to provide feedback before a final plan is submitted to the Board of Directors in December.”
For the 2019-20 school year, the district will change all elementary schools to a K-6 model. There are five elementary schools in the district — Edison (K-3), Jefferson Lincoln (K-3), Fords Prairie (K-3), Oakview (4-6) and Washington (4-6).
