Lewis County WSU Extension to Offer Free Gardening Workshops

The Lewis County WSU Extension will host a day of free workshops on Saturday, Oct. 7, in Washington Hall at Centralia College. 

The first round of workshops will be from 9 to 10:30 a.m. In Room 103, Centralia Public Works Director Kahle Jennings will talk about biosolids. In Room 105, Lewis County Noxious Weed Coordinator Bill Wamsley will talk about integrated pest management. 

The next round of classes will be from 10:45 a.m. to 12:15 p.m. In Room 103, Lewis County Master Gardener Mary Ann Albenesius will talk about effective garden irrigation. In Room 105, Lewis County Master Gardener Barbara Eastman will teach about plant propagation.



The final round of classes will be from 12:45-2:15 p.m. In Room 103, Lewis County Master Gardener Don Enstrom will talk about rain gardens. In Room 105, owner of Pan’s Garden Jo Ann Mahaffey will talk about growing succulents.
