Posted

Election officials will mail primary ballots to voters on Wednesday, Lewis County announced in a release.

The county will be mailing 46,585 ballots this year to all active registered voters. Another 322 military and overseas ballots were sent out on June 22.

Ballots must be postmarked before Aug. 7 to be counted. If a voter does not receive a ballot within 10 days of the mailing date, they may contact the Elections Department for a replacement. Voters who have moved may also update their voter registration with the department. The Elections Department can be reached at 360-740-1278.

Voters may also deposit ballots in a ballot drop box.
