With the problems leading to the suspension of payments in May to the Lodging Tax's largest beneficiary, the Destination Packwood Association which was allocated 25% of the LTAC pot, The commission is being much more careful this year and has revised it's application and added a supplemental declaration. It seems DPA had submitted and invalid IRS tax exempt determination letter for the last 3 years as their tax exempt status had been revoked in 2016. Also there is an LCSO investigation into their financial "irregularities". Perhaps they should audit one large beneficiary each year.
