Level 1 Sex Offender Registers as Transient in Thurston County

A Level 1 sex offender recently registered as transient in Thurston County, the Thurston County Sheriff’s Office announced this week. 

Rye E. Meyer, 47, is required to register as a sex offender due to a 2002 conviction in Thurston County Superior Court of one count of first-degree child molestation, for which he was sentenced to 78 months in prison. 

Meyer was accused, at age 31, of sexually assaulting an 8-year-old girl.
