Josh Metcalf Appointed by County Commissioners as Director of Lewis County Emergency Management

Josh Metcalf was appointed director of the Lewis County Department of Emergency Management at the Board of County Commissioners meeting on Monday morning. 

Metcalf is currently working as Lewis County’s Public Works Director.

County Manager Erik Martin addressed the commissioners about the appointment of Metcalf. 

“Washington Administrative Code 118-30-151 requires that Emergency Management be administered by a director who is appointed by the legislative authority which is the county commissioners in this case,” said Martin. 

Martin said that he spearheaded some reorganization and suggested that Metcalf be appointed as Director of Emergency Management. 

Former Lewis County Sheriff Steve Mansfield was previously the county’s Director of Emergency Management.
