The 55th annual Home & Sportsman Show will take place on Friday Jan. 31 and Feb. 1 and 2 at the NW Sports Hub in Centralia and will feature numerous vendors, activities for children, and food provided by the Hub City Grub.

Alicia Bull, executive director of the Centralia-Chehalis Chamber of Commerce, said that the Home & Sportsman show usually attracts around 3,000 people and it has been successful over the course of the past 54 years because of the excitement and dedication of the vendors that attend the event.

The show will be open from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Friday, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday and 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Sunday.

“We get excited every year to watch our show change and grow. The show will be filled with vendors and businesses that offer ideas and products for your home and for the great outdoors. Things like contractors, financial institutions, local retailers and more will be at the show. They offer wonderful discounts, great products, and impressive local customer service,” said Bull.

The event is family-friendly and will feature activities for kids including the Bethel Fun Zone with inflatables on Saturday and Sunday as well as a performance by magician Jeff Evans at 1 p.m. on Sunday.

Some of the items that Bull said will be for sale include plants, household items, various services, wood goods and more. Food and beverages will be available all weekend at the Hub City Grub.

“We welcome everyone near and far to enjoy the show. We love that local community members can come to the show and find local services that are being highlighted,” said Bull.

The event has expanded recently to include sports because they Centralia-Chehalis Chamber of Commerce felt that it is an interest within the community and has discussed doing a standalone sportsman show in past years but does not have the time or resources just yet.

“We decided to start with just adding in the option this year and seeing if we could get that specific sector (sports) to grow because we feel like it is an area of interest for our community,” said Bull.

The show is located at the NW Sports Hub at 701 Allen Avenue in Centralia.
