In a public ceremony scheduled for Saturday, Sept. 7, the Grand Master of the Washington Freemasons is scheduled to install new Centralia officers at the Southwest Washington Fairgrounds.

Officers including Ray Berrian, the Master-Elect, will be formally installed in their positions at Centralia Lodge No. 63 by Most Worshipful Brother Charles Wood, the grand master of all Freemasons in Washington.

“This is going to be quite an honor for us to have the grand master perform our ceremony,” said Berrian, in a press release. “We’ll be celebrating our 130th annual installation of officers at this event. I hope we see many of our friends and neighbors at this ceremony and we’re inviting anyone with an interest in our questions about Masonry to attend.”

The public event is scheduled for 3 p.m. Sept. 7 at the Southwest Washington Fairgrounds in Chehalis.

The local Eastern Star chapters plan to host a dinner following the ceremony at the Chehalis Masonic Temple at 123 W. Main St. and will give tours of the historic lodge’s rooms.
