Friends of the Chehalis Library to Hold Annual Book Sale Saturday

Posted

The Friends of the Chehalis Library will hold its annual book sale from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 2, at the Vernetta Smith Chehalis Timberland Library.

On sale will be donated books, CDs and DVDs at bargain prices. All the proceeds will go to support programs the library holds throughout the year.

“Our mission is to support the library and its programs. Of course that involves raising money and one main way of doing this is through sales of donated books,” said Marilynn Chintella, president of the Friends of the Chehalis Library, in an email to The Chronicle. “We have space in the library where we display good used books which patrons may purchase for a small donation. 100 percent of the proceeds are returned to the library in the form of speaker fees, refreshments, bookmarks, prizes and more.”
