Forest Health Seminar Scheduled in Morton

Posted

A forest health seminar organized by Lewis County’s Washington State University Extension is scheduled for 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Nov. 5 at the Lyle Community Center at 700 Main Avenue in Morton.

“Insects, disease, drought, wildfire, climate change, invasive species — These are all challenges that forests face and they seem to be taking a toll.” states a press release from the WSU extension.

The seminar will explain what landowners should look for and what they can do to maintain the health of their forestland.

The event is free, but advance registration is encouraged. For more information, go to forestry.wsu.edu/sw/events/foresthealth/.
