Festival of Trees Coming to Morton

The ninth annual Festival of Trees will be held Dec. 9-12 at the Tiller Arts Center in Morton.

On each day of the event, there will be raffles, door prizes and warm drinks. In addition, there will be voting and bidding on the decorated Christmas trees.

Special events will include:

• Wednesday, Dec. 9: Gala, 7-9 p.m., wine, hors d’oeuvres, unveiling of 2016 events.

• Thursday, Dec. 10: Cookie by the Pound Sale, 11 a.m.-7 p.m., benefits Friends of the Morton Library; Kid’s Time!, Snow Queen photobooth, 3-7 p.m.

• Friday, Dec. 11: Ugly Sweater Day, Cookie by the Pound Sale, benefits Friends of the Morton Library, 11 a.m.-7 p.m.



Saturday, Dec. 12: TAC open, 11 a.m.-7 p.m.; caroling-hay rides, 2-4 p.m.; live Nativity and Mountain High Community Singers, 6 p.m.; auction and raffle winners announced, 6:45 p.m.; Roxy movie, 7 p.m.

Before the event, businesses and individuals will be decorating 5-6-foot trees, tabletopper trees and wreaths. To reserve a tree, call the BCJ Gallery, (360) 496-0541, or Margaret Sundstrom, (360) 4906-5672, by Friday.

Decoration times for the trees will be 3-6 p.m. Sunday, 9 a.m.-6 p.m. Monday and Tuesday, and 9 a.m.-noon Wednesday.
